Life Lessons with Time Line Therapy®

‘The people who want to stay in your life will always find a way’ has always been his mantra. He would often dwell on the distance but as much as he wants to be where she is, he cannot. He works miles away from her. She studies in an open university. They have been together for a year and a few months now and everything seems to work according to plan.

Most weekends, they would schedule a getaway and rendezvous somewhere in between. Spending all day and night like it would end tomorrow – holding and cradling each other like they have been glued. When you see them or hear how one would gush about the other, you would end up shivering with delight and jealous of the perfect relationship they have.

De-stressing Stress

True, we all need stress in our lives to keep us well and healthy. However, too much of something, particularly stress, is bad for the health. According to studies, too much stress causes chemicals to react thus, rendering damage to the brain.

The solution? Develop the ability to remove and eradicate excess stress from your system. Now the question is, “how do you do it?”

Neuro Linguistic Programming 101

Learning NLP basics and more

For starters, let me begin by saying that Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP could easily be  understood. A simple understanding on its core principles could introduce you to what NLP is and all the other pertinent facts that come with it.

For starters, Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP is the understanding of the relationship between one’s behavior and one’s subjective experiences that supports the mind at various levels of awareness. The way the mind functions affects how an individual thinks, perceives and understands the world. The interplay between the mind and behavior affects not only the way an individual thinks but also of how an individual interacts with other people. NLP aims not only to understand the conscious mind but also awaken the level of subconscious mind where human behavior is stored.

The life ahead

Arguments usually emanate from miscommunication. Communication, per se, is not just about how you talk but rather how you are able to get the message across and solicit a feedback. Feedback, though for some is immaterial, is but an inevitable requisite in a complete communication process. Whether verbal or nonverbal feedback, it is still important.

Miscommunication is the same as  over thinking. When you over think, you tend to deviate from reality and come up with hypothetical scenarios that may lead to paranoid. At one point or another, we are all guilty of doing this. We are stuck in an open ended scenario, neglecting important matters and getting obsessed with what we think is true rather than what is true.

Moving on

It has never been easy – never has and never will. Personally, I hate goodbyes. I hate saying goodbye and I hate being said goodbye.

Being able to withstand the pain or the loss takes time, patience and a lot of courage. Getting up in the morning knowing that the person whom you got used to is not physically present is indeed heart breaking.

Indeed, life is a vicious cycle – people come and people go. Some tend to stay while others leave. Never has it been forever on both ends.

Letting go and moving on are but the deadliest combination a person could withstand. The task requires focus – something that we, humans, lack. Let me state that yes, we do focus and concentrate but only for a short span of time. Given the nuisances around us, we tend to devoid our minds from the important things and acknowledge the superficial details around us.

Everything happens for a reason. We may be blinded by superficial thoughts regarding the pain and the negativity we feel but at the end of the day when the lights are out and we only have ourselves, we ponder and reflect on the situation and   realize that indeed, everything happens for a reason.

Indeed, the best way to let go of negative emotions is to come face to face with it with our head held up high. There shall be no room for negativity in our lives. Life is short – why make it shorter? Learn to walk away from all the negativity that surrounds you. Enjoy life, one waking day after another.

To be able to move on and let go is the same as forgetting about your negative past experiences. Learn how to put back the pieces. Smile though your hest is aching. Love your own self more than you have ever did. Listen to the sound of life and cherish your today as much as your future. Never, for a moment, underestimate your capacity to be happy. Certainly, God must have spent a little more time on you as he wants you to see beyond the roadblock and appreciate what tomorrow might bring.

Thus, the only way is up – not down or sideways. Keep moving forward and see life beyond the past.

Meet Brad Greentree

Anthony Robbins once said, if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten’. Indeed, change is but the only constant thing in this world. It is but an inevitable factor to accept and embrace in one’s life. Without change, everything would remain the same – no movement, no development and no growth. We would all be stagnant.

Brad Greentree
Brad Greentree has been instrumental in helping individuals rediscover inner strength for over fifteen (15) years now. Accordingly, he has been practicing Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with the likes of Dr. Tad James, MS, PhD and Dr. Adriana James, MS, PhD, for quite some time. Together they seek to reform, reprogram and aid thy self into letting go of the past, living the present and painting the future.
